Old Fort Harrod State Park in Harrodsburg, KY, showcases a faithful reproduction of the fort constructed by James Harrod in 1774.
The park’s focal point, the full-scale replica, is complemented by cabins and blockhouses furnished with handcrafted utensils, primitive tools, and furniture reminiscent of pioneer life.
Visitors can immerse themselves in the historical ambiance, exploring the park’s features such as the Mansion Museum, George Rogers Clark Federal Monument, the Lincoln Marriage Temple, and the oldest cemetery west of the Alleghenies.
The Lincoln Marriage Temple is a notable stop on Kentucky’s Lincoln Heritage Trail.
During winter:
the park operates its grounds seven days a week from dawn to dusk.
The Fort and Gift Shop have adjusted hours, open on Thursdays and Fridays in January and February, and from March to November, they are open Wednesdays through Sundays.

Museum: Step into history at the Mansion Museum, an original structure dating back to 1813. Initially built in Federalist Style, it later underwent additions to adopt a Greek Revival aesthetic. The museum houses an impressive collection of artifacts spanning from the 15th or 16th century to the early 1900s, featuring one of the finest assortments of firearms, ranging from early flintlocks to Civil War-era muskets.

Amphitheater: Includes chairs. Rental fee is $300.00 with a $200 deposit.
